Al-jaz is airing libyan state tv right now where Gadaffi Gaddafi Qadafi Qathafi Mad Dog Muammar is calling in by phone. It's like a caller to Rush Limbaugh but in arabic. He's blaming the riots on kids who have been given hallucinogenic drugs by Bin Laden.

Its about time Bin Laden started giving something back to society...

Hadaffi? That's how we call (the Dutch) call him. Well, that's how we write it actually.
According to wikipedia, it's Qaḏḏāfī  ; essentially a jumble of letters and symbols which no mortal tongue can unravel into normal letters.

You know, if you wanted to really destroy some politician's carrier, you could photoshop him into hugging Qaddafi and publicize it.

Spoiler: Oh wait. (click to show/hide)

Oh well, at least he wasn't America-

Spoiler: dang. (click to show/hide)

I just want to remind people that although it our leaders are made very upset by human rights violations and insane dictators shooting people left and right, they don't mind actually hugging these people.

I just want to imagine that as a part of your job, you'll end up meeting with Gaddafi for a few minutes, on your own turf. Would you really just let him walk away?

Yes, because I don't fancy getting shot down by security guards.

Well, we weren't giving this one a billion dollars a year at least, which I guess is a step up.  ::)

I bet Mubarak is happy with this turn of events. The whole mess Gadaffi has arranged is making him look contrite in comparison (I dont think he's gonna get his 40 billion €  back, though. I kind of wonder why didn't he try something grand and populist to quell the riots, though. With that kind of cash it's not like he couldn't afford it.)

Wait, how is what Obama's doing a hug?  I see no hugging action there.  At all.

You don't grimace when you hug? Maybe I'm doing it wrong.

I think the real question here is "do you hug whenever you grimace."

Hell no. The day Obama arrests Gaddafi for crimes against humanity on international television when Gaddafi believes himself to be meeting with Obama for normal reasons is the day I call myself an Obama supporter. Of course, he'll never do that, but if he did it would be enough to win my support.

Now, if I personally had met with Gaddafi, I'd stab the civilian-bombing lunatic myself. But for the moment, this is sadly only a fantasy.

US says that Kadhafi have chemical and biological weapon.
I expect James Bond to act any second now.

He has the exact expression I would expect someone to adopt when forced to shake hands with a genocidal nutcase.
