By saying that without a food web to support them it wouldn't be feasible. This 'master species' will consume everything there is to consume, then pass away, leaving Earth barren and lifeless. That is what I meant. However, I really have no idea what you meant and I am just guessing your ideas.
No, I meant it isn't feasable to get, not to support. We will get no perfect species without a lot of time and a very complex eco system to support it for that time.

There will be more than one species to begin with. Then there will be less. Then less. Then less. Until only one remains. Which will then go extinct.

That's sort of the exact opposit to how history has displayed life to function. Your more of a sick romantic then any sort of realist.

The way I see it is, as an organism becomes better and better it will fulfill more functions in the ecosystem. The 'Master Species' would fill all but one. And that one would ensure its downfall.

But history has shown that a species does better as it fills less roles and becomes more specilised into a specific task. A species of bird will be split in two when some eat eat seeds from trees and others pick insects from leaves. Those that choose seeds become better harvesters of there chosen fruit, and insect eaters become better preditors.

Yep. And then it goes extinct because it cannot adapt. It happened with the mammoths. Incredibly specialised to the point of destruction. Which animal is considered to be the ultimate survivor? The common cockroach. An incredibly unspecialised animal.

Also freekishly simplistic. Therefor you have your 'ultimate being' in the most simple organisem you can find. After all, there must have been one 'first crature' and this single celled wonder must have filled every roll that the enviorment had to offer as of that point. So go collect a sample of sea water, and make a shrine to it, put it in your window and know every day that your supirior is in that jar.

Makes sence that we should be eating these annoyingly specilised tigers and elephants instead, by your logic. Making your chart some what confusing.

Why octopie when there are squid to take care of? Just as smart, but more of them.

Fun fact: There are more squid in the sea then fish.

I figure the chinese would have figured out by now that they don't cure anything, and are just using that as a cover because they taste nice.

Oh, I thought you're speaking from experience.

But yeah, now that you mention it, all those panda "shelters" in China do seem a bit fishy.
