Yeah I've been casually watching all the drama that this thread gets into and honestly an IRC channel would be perfect for it. Set up some kind of logging bot with whoever has a 24/7 connection (or just a dropbox or pastebin where people can throw logs) and you'd be pretty set.

Forums just aren't the place for this rapid-fire, transient sort of RP. It's too quick-fire and impulse. IRC is basically perfect for this twitter-esque sort of RP, and then you can write your own rules (which seems to be what gets you into trouble - your natural instincts all seem to head towards the more, shall we say, adult side of RPing) The rate everyone's going, either Toady will close it on account of all the drama this thread creates, or Merchant will just keep permalocking it for an hour or two until every just gets sick of enabling her and moves on.

There are plenty of us here who speak the IRC-fu if you're worried about the technical side of it all.

Care to elaborate? There's nothing I can see that would stop IRC being the optimal medium for this other than 'change is scary and one time a dude on IRC called me a name'.

It tends to get cluttered, even with logs, when there are very, VERY active users on it.
