Think about it. Torikan females stand between 7' 4'' (Give or take a bit) and 9' 6'' tall and weigh between 660 and 1254 pounds. And they're strong.

There are three eight ton 12' alien bug monsters, each with psychic bullets and four huge scythe-like claws at the camp.

Even before getting crossed over with the psychic Zoanthropes, a Carnifex can eat Spess Mehrenes for breakfast. Quite literally.

I think such deterrents would make them reconsider a fight.
