Actually, low mass of a ship would reduce momentum, and that means less thrust needed to speed up / change direction.
However, negative mass means reversing gravity. And when that happens, everything falls to pieces, as matter begins pushing against matter. Things literally dissolve into nothing, as atoms try to get as far away from each-other as possible.

Alternately: Concrete is destroyed. (Concrete is porous, brittle and mushy) and then replaced by layered ceramic/polymer shielding. If that doesn't bounce off a blastwave, nothing will.

You both godmoded the concrete thing, first blowing it to pieces then retconning it back into place. There was no longer such thing as in-context. Your last post isn't going anywhere, so get Dariel/Taric to nab some ceramic composites from somewhere. There is also some Smurf armor that might come in handy to patch gaps and so on.
