yeah, well since your FPS is uncapped/capped at 400 it went really slow for me...
well I waited. hell, what's wrong with that BC?
try repeating spike trap to get it to dodge into a trap...

Alternatively, carefully timed and choreographed cave-ins.  If you can get the bugger stunned by a cave in next to it, it'll trigger a trap.  Be prepared to scumsave for days trying to get the timing right though.

Get a GCS to web it on top of a cage trap, if something is webbed it ignores the [TRAP_AVOID] tag.

yeah, that's likely to happen. besides, it doesnt have that tag

this is rediculous. its walked over the traps tons of times now, it never seems to dodge at all (how did it get in the hole in the first place?)

in short, it's acting like it has the trap avoid tag, but it doesnt.

Alternatively, are you certain you're reading the correct raw?  There's one under DF/raw and one under DF/data/save/RegionX/raw

I read both. identical. no trapavoid.

it is under creature_standard.txt, right? the game doesn't get the data elsewhere?

I think you should just care out an arena under him and don't bother with the cage traps.

Just curious, what would happen if you abandon fort and return?  Is the bug that converts enemies to friends still around and would it result in a BC guard?
