I'm about 1/13 of the way through the 5th Edition Rulebook for Warhammer 40K, and I was wondering how many people would be interested and would like a spot in the new game? It'll be a few days while I read, but I already have an idea mapped out.

The game will take place on planets(and occasionally starships) and it will also be affected by your actions. For instance, say you and the other players tip the balance towards victory and capture a planet-That planet will show up as Imperium/Ork/Eldar/etc. on the campaign map, which I will design, or if anyone's willing to make one I can send them the planets I need and how they are connected. Is anyone interested? It will likely take place using maptools, Hamachi, and some other RP tools.

Instead of maptools, why don't you use Vassal 40k? Maptools for the campaign map is fine, but Vassal 40k should be used for actual playing.
Also, I'm interested, playing as Orks.

Looking at Vassal 40k, it looks good, I just need a download link and manual. I'm guessing Vassal 40K was specifically designed for WH40K?

Yeah, pretty much.
It's got most of the units for every army, but it's lacking stuff like stompas, and titans.
It's got some cool stuff for making army lists, but it does take a while to get used to, though.

Edit: Admittedly, I'd prefer it if no one played as orks, since due to the way 40K IS orks aren't particularly united in one empire, but I think it'll be fun and...Interesting.

They can be, sometimes. It's called a WAAAGH. It's like a crusade, only orky. Ghazkhull is one of the best examples. He leads the largest army of orks anyone has ever seen.
Also, the same could be said for humans. Chaos and Imperium, and I'm pretty sure Eldar are humans that are high class, and very psychic.

Well, okay, but I'm trying to open the map in vassal right now. I have the 40K module and have it loaded, by the way.

Nevermind, I found the map, though it's called 'table' which is weird. My prob is I need models for cover, buildings, and so on.

Vassal 40k comes with scenery/cover. Make sure to make copies of your table, though, because once you place a piece, you can't do anything to it ever again.
