I just butchered a forgotten beast Toad monster annnddd....

It took at least a month game-time to butcher it, using a non-skilled butcher i locked down in my cave.

Highlights: 200+ meat, 20 lungs, 142 bone

Pretty awesome.

I'm deciding what i should do with his skin. Thoughts?

Make a cape.

Wear it as you patrol the cavern it used to protect.

It doesn't matter much, because all the materials will be minimum value. Beef is worth more, sadly.

On the other hand, you have a frigging lot of it. Cook up the meat and you won't have to worry about food for a little while.

my butcher just finished a forgotten beat python with giant mandibles, it gave me about 300 meat and a pile of prepared organs
i may have too much food...
but the skin sadly rotted before my tanners got free time :(

All my haulers have both butchery and tanning to prevent that. Too bad tanning's moodable, the practice occasionally steals some would-be armoring moods.

Dwarves can make and wear capes? I was unaware of this!

Also, another forgotten beast came out and we killed that too. A one eyed mauve-colored chameleon. The same is being done to that.

The skin is 226 "lbs", how much leather will this produce?
