Fortis:
The old dwarf looks at the bolt, and laughs. "Ah, no, they are not. Those bolts are too crude to be dwarven work. I could make better ones, and I've never even worked in a forge."
Ahra:
This world is a mix of many, not just Dwarf Fortress.

"I believe these creatures are planning to ambush anyone that investigates this place. Remain vigilant if any of you press on."

(ooc: Those slits are probably fortifications the ratmen use to fire bolts from; that's probably why the dead human with multiple bolts in him was dumped into the water. I would advise extreme caution!)

Tokul explains what occurred and his thoughts. He strips the body down, placing the creature's equipment in the caravan except for the talisman and necklace.

Tokul asks the elven wizard to identify the trinkets on the corpse. As he waits, he is informed by the group about the details he's missed so far. He stroked his chin for a moment, his claws making a peculiar clacking noise as they slid over his scales. He points to the group's sentient undead, Nogan.

(ooc: If they are mundane items, I'll take them with me as trophies/souvenirs of sorts. If they are magical, I'll hand them out to the group based on who would benefit most.)

"You. You should be able to investigate this well. Take only what you must, you don't want to be encumbered or get stuck; who knows how tight it might be. Find out where it leads, safely if you can. If you hit a dead end, then come back to escort the group. Make sure you take count of how long you are down there."

He stops for a moment, thinking to himself once again.

"We need to know if there's another route down there. We might be able to surprise these 'ratmen' off-guard. So find out how far it goes, where, how long we'll need to hold our breath and who might be able to squeeze through."

Tokul states he'll continue to scout the other entrance and provide assistance if he is able.

"If I find anything or need help, I'll make sure to give a signal."

He smirks slyly as he departs from the group, trekking back to the other tunnel to continue his investigation.

Adwarf:
... No...
Actually, it's not, really.
Ahra:
You head to the entrance of the next room, but something holds you back.
Draco:
The elven mage looks at both trinkets, and licks them in turn. He then tells you what they do.
Tooth Necklace (+1 St, +1 Ch)
Talisman of Stealth (+1 Ag, +1 In)
The barracks floor is very well worn, so you doubt you'll be able to discern and reliable tracks. It smells of infections, rot, and wet dog fur. Or, in this case, wet rat fur. While some of the beds are well made, most of them look like someone was pulled from the mattress. There are forks and other eating utensils on the tables.  You head down the other passage, and you hear the occasional squeak, or the clink of a poorly fashioned weapon. There is another passage way in this room, heading right. There is a hatch cover on the floor. There are five ratmen in the room with you, all wielding crossbows, each standing at their own firing slit.

The main group and the wagon head into the next room, cautiously hunched over. The blood staining the floor is a bad omen. Ahead, you see that the tunnel branches off to the left and right, and there is a passageway down directly in front of you.
When they reach the middle of the room, bolts fly out of the slots, on both sides of the room. One bolt manages to fly all the way across the room, and into the firing slot on the other side. You hear a loud yelp of pain.
The old dwarf takes a bolt to the thigh, and falls backwards into the bed of the wagon.
In the cross way in front of you, three ratmen soldiers, a ratman shaman, and a giant rat troll appear. The shaman starts to cast a spell, while the soldiers prepare to charge.

Sorry if anyone didn't get an action in.
Also, I'm pretty sure I updated all of the items, but if I missed something, please tell me.
EDIT:
Combat works be you telling me what attacks with what weapons you want to make, I'll roll their to-hit, and damage, then I'll tell you what the enemies did for their attacks, then roll their damage.
EDITEDIT:
The ratmen color blends in with the background way too well. I'll change it for the next turn, unless you guys want me to change it now.
EDITEDITEDIT:
Rerolled lemon10's In. Big improvement.
Map updated for easier use.

Blarg, i couldn't be bothered to do stuff/check this thread for the past few days, sorry.

I cast blast on the shaman (and hit the troll and two ratman soldiers with the splash damage if possible)

Also, i know its REALLY late for this, but would it be possible to reroll my int (when i looked at it the first time i thought it was 6, but now i see its 3+3, so i doubt i would do any worse then three).

Spoiler: OOC (click to show/hide)

Tokul quickly draws his bow as he watches the crossbowrats open fire on the wagon. He pulls out an arrow, notching it into the bow as he takes aim at furthest crossbowrat. He lets the arrow fly as he reaches back to his quiver for another. He pulls the bow back as he aims for the second furthest crossbowrat. Tokul releases the second arrow on its second target and immediately rushes to charge the closest crossbowrat.

<Fire arrow at crossbowrat #5, fire arrow at crossbowrat #4, charge crossbowrat #1>

He swings his bow against the rat's arms, attempting to disarm it as he draws his short sword with his right hand. He inhales sharply, fiery color filling his nostrils as he roars, unleashing a large blast of fire on the two closest crossbowrats. Tokul positions himself between the crossbowrat and its comrades, hoping to block their line of fire.

<Disarm crossbowrat #1 with bow, fire breath on crossbowrat #1 and crossbowrat #2>

Counter charge. Attack the nearest charging rattie via a pointy thing on a wooden pole to the chest.

Tokul yells to his companions in the midst of battle.

"Rally! Rally! Raaalleeee!! Take down these archers or they'll keep you pinned down! Magic would help here!!"

He struggles with the his target, as he attempts to defend himself from attacks.

"Frey! Were any of you hit?! Keep us strong! Amonsu, get that troll moving! We need a fighter, not a walking museum!!"
