Profit Dances happily at the mention of honey bee's

It will be epic to have our little honey and pollination microcreatures in the game.

that's not really correct usage of the word "epic,"  but yeah.

As long as we can drop beehives on invaders, I'm good......

Nothing that isn't wrong with everyone else on this forum. I'm amazed someone else didn't think of it first.

Damn, I've already thought of a few beehive traps, and also a multitude of ways to kill bees, but beehive stonefall traps?
Well, now you've got me hoping that beehives break upon impact... that would be totally awesome!

Even better, I wonder if it would be possible to launch beehives at them with pressurized water cannons? Please, Toady, grant me this wish!

Urist has been ecstatic lately. He has lost a beehive to tragedy recently. He has seen a goblin be stung to death recently.

Or maybe to attract bears.

The last sentence just invokes marvellous imagery of the dwarven method of beekeeping.

Quote
Since collection destroys the colony with our non-modern hives, you'll have to collect new colonies of bees after your honeycombs are pressed, but new colonies will be available on the map over time in areas with bees.

They take the entire hive and just hammer it flat and collect the stuff that oozes out. This is the honey; what is left is the wax.
