Give me something fast, nasty, and assured to go out in a blaze of glory, preferably not with an Orich missile of mine taking out a friend's ship (I like white missiles, but can't remember who has them, yeah guys, you can laugh. The white missile is discriminatory).

Mission 1 report:

So we drop out of hyperspace to this sector.
.
Standing order - wide spaced delta formation. We will sweep at high speed infront of the convoy (to our NE) looking for the enemy...

CONTACT! Boski in Bay12 #2 spots an enemy drone and frigate, so its turn to face and fire at will

Boski and myself fire off a volley at the frigate and drone... while glyphgryph hangs back by the convoy...

bugger. we both miss, and i collide with the frigate

... but sweve around it as Boski lands a decent hit on its starboard shields but subsequently puts himself into a bit of a pincer between the enemy, and ends up running from 2 missiles...


i loose off 2 rounds at the enemy frigate... and Boski ejects as the 2 missiles destroy his engines... and manage to destroy the frigate that got Boski's ship! GlphGryph still circling...

Enemy stealth fighter appears on my scanners, shoots 2 innefectual rounds at me, as Glyphgryph arrives to offer support landing a hit on the port side of an enemy gunship...

... and continues to fire as i sweep past him, hitting me once (thanks!) destroying my engines, with another hunting me down... so I eject like any sensible pilot would do...



glyphgryph promptly hyperspaces out, and the enemy pick off the convoy...



so, no pilots lost, but a failure. mission 2 tomorrow people...
