The leader, manager, bookkeeper, and broker jobs all started as vacant even though one dwarf had the relevant skills. Trying to change this results in a crash immediately after closing the noble screen, regardless if any changes were made or not.

Can't reproduce on other saves or by starting a new game.

Was this from a fresh fortress or a reclaim fortress?  First game in that world?

Brand new fortress(starting autosave, nothing done at all) and first in that world. I've since restarted in the same location, using a copy of the world data, without any problems. This is 33g, the map was one of the "good seeds" from the wiki and generated in 33f.

Over the course of fiddling with it, I once had a popup about the index being corrupt/missing. Can't reproduce that, but the crash happens about 90% of the time.

Okay, I've downloaded it and I'll take a look at some point.

Yeah, the vacant positions are actually assigned, but it's not able to load the units associated to those id numbers.  I'm not sure how it got corrupted, but looks like one of the unit files got screwed up, possibly.
