Cannibalism
« on: January 23, 2011, 12:05:45 am »

This here thread is here for discussing the ethics and various opinions on what is my personal favorite taboo: Cannibalism.

And this thread won't last long.

"Here's a thread for X: Go!" threads seldom do.

Your own thoughts and somewhere to start would be good.

The funny part is I remember a lot of people saying this exact thing to you in the beginning of the politics thread.

I find it morally wrong in a personal sense and completely repugnant and reprehensible.

I would eat each and every one of you if push comes to shove.

If we're talking a restaurant then I guess that would be near impossible to get your hands on some human meat.

I'm all for eating the heart of your enemies to gain their courage though.

i'm ok with cannibalism, as long as it does not involve murder and is physiologically safe

In a survival situation, I might resort to such a thing, but I'm no murderer. They'd have to die of somthing else, and I'd have to be at the end of my rope food-wise.

In a survival situation it's way different. I would just go crazy and crack someone's skull open to feast on the goo inside.

So many reasons not to eat somebody. The moral and ethical reasons are obvious, but there are sooooo many nasty things you can get from eating people. Especially brains, they've got the whole Head Hunter mad-cow thing that makes you die a slow, horrible death.

So, in closing, I'll stick to non-human meat.

I believe you are refering to 'kuru'. A south pacific disease also known as 'laughing fever'.

You become insane, have rabid like behaviors, your eyes bleed, your tongue turns green, giant black boils appear all over your lymphatic areas, the boils pustulate and burst, your teeth fall out, your hair falls out, and your central nervous system shuts down over time, causing seizure like symptoms, causing ominous blood-vomit and uncontrolled bowel responses.

Hows THAT for a dwarf syndrome?!

No but seriously, I'm under the impression that the head hunter madness happens precisely because they are head hunters.

Rule number one for cannibals, DO NOT EAT BRAIN.

Also don't eat the bladder or the kidneys till they've been treated, eating them otherwise can make you terribly ill with parasitics and stomach disorders.

I'm not a cannibal and don't intend to be one, but if something CAH-Razy happened and the world ended tonight, I'd at least have the option.

I propose that we cannibalise everyone who creates a cannibalism thread. Nearest forumite to the OP has responsibility. If Jackrabbit starts one, I've got it covered.

what no this wasn't just a leadup to the revival of the tastes like satan meme what are you talking about
