FRAPS

Some searching hasn't led me to a fix, so I thought I'd make a thread about it. If there is an obvious solution or one found easily by searching I apologize in advance. Fraps no longer seems to recognize dwarf fortress so I am no longer able to take screenshots easily. Is there another easy way to take screenshots or to get FRAPS working? I'm running the most recent versions of both.

Using the Legacy version of Dwarf Fortress seems to make it work again. Probably has something to do with Fraps only being able to record games rendered with D3D or OpenGL.

So if you want to continue using fraps, download the legacy version of DF. Though it's probably safer for your save files to just use an alternative program like the one above.

I use fraps and it works fine with the current version (31.18)
