Sandbox is more of a macro-genre than a real genre, given that a sandbox could potentially be rts, first person, or god-game level.

Most of the options are also not mutually exclusive. Fantasy is a context or setting, not a genre.

In other words, this poll presents choices between nonmutually exclusive or categorically-unrelated options, making my head hurt. DF might easily be classified as all or most of these objectively.

Ill remove fantasy.

I classify it as Dwarf Fortress.

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.

You misspelled Roguelike, Javarock.

I'd classify Dwarf Fortress as a Sandbox, since the world your fortress is in or around your adventurer almost literally under your control.

Unknown to most but the insane and the mystics, Tarran is actually Earth itself, as Earth is sentient like that planet in Avatar. Originally Earth used names such as Terra on the internet, but to protect it's identity it changed letters, now becoming the Tarran you know today.
Quote from: Ze Spy
Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

It's a simulation/survival/city building game with a handful of RTS and strategy elements.

Fantasy world simulator, because that's what TvTropes says it is.

I also am fond of the simple "Slaves to Armok II: Dwarf Fortress is a fantasy game." as the heading to the Dwarf Fortress boards.
