I don't know why you'd actually considering showing your friend the prequel trilogy first (or hell, at all) if you want them to actually like Star Wars.

This is somehow the second time that's happened, and I have no idea how.

The kitchenette mold free, you move on to the pantry. it's nasty in there. The bacon is grazing on the lettuce. The ham is having an illicit affair with the prime rib, The potatoes see all, know all. A rat in boxer shorts smoking a foul smelling cigar is banging on a cabinet shouting about rent money.

123 then 456: start him/her at the bottom of the hill, if s/he is worthy (and still your friend) then s/he may watch the original trilogy. you may also be interested in showing them those crappy star wars games that aren't jedi knight/dark forces, knights of the old republic, battlefront, or lego star wars (did i miss any?).

edit: oh yeah and you can't forget the christmas special

You mean the wookie family affair? Because if yes, then I feel sympathy for you. It's one of those things that cannot be unseen.

It is soooooooo boring. The problem is that it is also SOOO annoying that you can't even use it to put you to sleep like other movies.

I've watched the youtube version. Truly unique.
Is there one with subtitles? Because I'd like to know what the fuck is going on.

A friend of mine has never watched the star wars movies (any of them), and I am planning to rectify this. However, the question arises of which trilogy to watch first. Any advice from the denizens of bay12?
