Alright, I should really explain in full. What I have in mind, for the time being (I am completely open to change!) is something like this;
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
So, given this, is there anything I have forgotten, or should add?

(P.S. What are those bunker things? Is that from another version, or are you confusing bunkers with tanks/houses?)

(P.P.S Chris, there is no crop button in images. There is an attributes button which can be used to determine size by a number, but it is REALLY cumbersome.)

Ah, very good. Thanks.

On another note, do you guys want to start at the beginning and do mostly defence missions, initially, or jump right in to '42 or '43? And for positions, if you guys want to start taking basic positions now, hopefully low point-cost ones like infantry, mortars, machineguns, flamethrowers (?), AT guns and such, and then we can work from there to see how many points we have left to spend. Probably having one person in charge of a mortar/AT section (2-3) will help us even out the points spent.

So, as of now...
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
And if we go with that, we would have;
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
And all of our points would be spent. Would that be OK for you guys, or is there another way you would want me to divvy it up?

Sign me up for a squad. Machineguns, please. Also, please start at the beginning. We're going stop Operation Barbarossa, remember?

Oh, ok. Would it be alright if I gave you two (USEC_OFFICER and Metal Militia) command roles, or if you could get someone else to give you their section and take command roles themselves? Alternately, I could just completely scratch this setup and start over.

Or, I just thought, we could take the HMG support elements from the infantry squads and combine them into their own groups, which would make it a little fairer for the paratroops who didn't get any, which would add another section for one of you, and the other could get a command role. But in the end it's you guy's decision, I personally could go either way.

So each player gets two squads?

If I have to be a paratrooper, I'll want us to start with some offensive missions.

You mean the ones with machineguns? Yes, as they are smaller. Infantry commanders have 1 squad, mortars 3, machineguns 2, AT 2, tanks 1, and so on.

Hugehead; not really possible if we start at beginning of Russia's campaign, but the consolation is that you can easily act offensively (no pun intended, I should probably say "aggresively") in a defensive battle, "a good offense is a good defense", eh? And later, you will have more than enough opportunities to take the offensive, and even, eventually, take a tank.

So, wait, do you want the 2 HMGs or the command squad?

I really got into this after playing another one of his little gems for a while (Critical mass). Trouble is after a little practice each mission gets a bit generic and the same blitz with infantry support method works in almost all situations, and you only really die if a random artilliery strike lands on you....

(P.S ill take any role...)
That is all pretty much true, but if you add the SUPER-realistic approach of each squad being commanded individually, with only "iffy" radio contact under harsh conditions, I'm hoping it will get a little bit more interesting. If not, at least it will hopefully fulfill the DF brand of FUN. Worth a try, at least.

Metal Militia; that being the command role? If so, staff sergeant (you'll end up pretty much loosely controlling 2 squads of infantry anyways, although it won't be with direct orders, but with loose directives which the players individually in charge of each squad will have to interpret and act upon on their own)?

If that works, then this would be the new list;
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
In which case, we would still need to assign a Leftenant. (And now the points, as they cuurently stand at an allowance of 126, are perfectly distrubuted!)
