2 in this case. I have the AT section set as a 2-piece light AT gun group led by you. Bonus, right? :P

Metal Militia; or, you could be a brutal and aggresive Russian Commissar who barks staccato orders (don't ask how that works) at his men, and regularly shoots one to keep the rest of the group in line, or otherwise demeans him with cruel and off-color derogatory remarks. With cat ears. Either works.

Actually, HMG squads would be more likely helping out the infantry squads. But whatever.

Mortars eh?

DEATH FROM ABOVE, FASCIST NON-VODKA DRINKING DOGS!

Awh, my paratroopers wanted to use that line!

As paratroopers, will actual airdrops be implemented?  Or, are we just special forces?

main diff for paratroopers is they carry SMG's instead of mainly rifles... and there is probably some bonus to skill/morale hidden away in the code... i tend not to find them too useful due to relativley short range and high cost compared to rifle infantry.

Really, if they have smgs you should use 'em to scout out ahead of you own guys. Those SMGs are deadly up close

Unless there's a large, open field. Then riflemen will tear the paratroopers to bits before they get close. The SMGs would be better if we were taking or holding a town. Though I guess we have machineguns, so on the defensive side we're okay, I guess.

Actually, HMG squads would be more likely helping out the infantry squads. But whatever.
That's true, and they can be used in this case to fulfill that purpose. But they would be individually commanded by a sergeant, in most armies (Plus, I need more things for you guys to command :P).

On paratroops, they are actually cheaper than the norm by 2 points (search me), and in this case will probably come in very handy, as most of what we will be doing is taking cover in woods and waiting for the unsespecting Germans to get close enough to be torn to pieces by smg fire out of cover. And if that doesn't work, we have 3 mortars, 4 HMGs and 2 AT guns. So we're probably set.

Alright, so, unless anyone has any objections, for now these troop assignments are standing (we will be awarded more points to spend in the future, and will eventually have much, much more available).

Any volunteers for Leftenant (or in this case, comrade(kind of like a commissar, but with more military importance and overall less propaganda mongering))? Don't be shy now, I promise you won't be sniped :D (but if the Germans catch you the commissar order is currently in effect... (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commissar_Order))!

((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((I like parentheses, if you couldn't tell ;D))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Okay, if Metal Militia is our Commissar/Leftenant, then the available spot would now be Staff Sergeant.

Uh, yeah, sure. He can be the command element for them.

So, this is how it looks as of now;
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
And then we can throw the other "recon" squad in for MonkeyHead's AT section as his command element.
