As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

Why are all the animals invisible? And why is the military not responding? I'm gonna try this with a fresh install...

EDIT : So, uh, is there something broken? Animals don't show up and as far as I know, military doesn't respond. It may be wrong on my end, but either way I have to pass.

odd. Would it be the save file? I just copied the "region 1" save file into a .rar and called it bentmirror.

i guess MDU is up

are you running asciimod or phoebus? because I ran on ironhand, so that /might/ be what's wrong.

try installing genesis mod: ironhand tileset. it's on the dev page.

Why didn't you grab ASCII version then? Just overwrite the "/raw/" folder in "/data/save/region*/" folder with the one from the ASCII version, and you will get proper ASCII imagery without weird symbols everywhere. There are Ironand, phoebus and ASCII versions (link is in my sig).
