Name : Jacen
Race : Any
Profession : Cannon Fodder, A Real Dwarf if he gets a legendary weapon skill
Gender : Male
Skills : A useless migrant drafted into the military.
Note : If when he dies, can I have a Jacen the II, Jacen the III, etc?

I hope this goes better than my Genesis community fort. Which was always on the verge of dieing because of my lack of farming skill.

I'll take turn 3 too. What Genesis version are we using? I also changed profession a little bit.

We are using the latest version of genesis, compatible with .18.
I'll add that to the OP

Spring...

Ah, spring. a joyous time. It sickens me. I cannot wait to dig into the bowels of the earth and ruin this place. now to find a suitable hi-

Fuck.

no hills.

Anyway, my first action is to dig straight down into the earth. I began to dig out a farm, and dug further down in the search of stone.
My wish was fulfilled, we breached stone in the form of conglomerate, a flux stone.

After this, I designed a Stoneworking room, which is large enough to contain the need for stone. I also designed a small temporary dorm and a food/booze storage room.

Possibly the most notable event was when I was coming up for a drink from the tunnels...

"I disagree" gaaben boomed.
"Pumpkin wine is a fine drink!"
"no, no, no. You have to go classic, dwarven wine is better!" replied the bored raesnosz.
"wait, wasz that?"
what the prole was pointing at was a scene beyond comprehension...
pudge. pudge everywhere. about 30 dead fluffy wamblers. their rotting corpses shone in the sun, and almost broke the heart of the dwarves sitting there.

Yes. A single cat disturbed a fluffy wambler nest, and in doing so, murdered them all.
all of them.

Also of note would be the rather large herd of horses outside.

Other than that, this was a rather uneventful spring. Lets hope they stay that way.

EDIT: does anyone have a method of taking pictures that doesn't rape the quality?

Wahaaa! It's time for more bentmirror!

Summer...
1 hematite, 151
Ah. this is the way to start off summer. Drinking some pumpkin wine and chilling in the sun. Then I look around...

and mourn the lack of hills.

The miner is slowly making progress on the stoneworking room, and he's almost done. At this point, mad doctor urist found it necessary to make a stonefall trap and fall asleep in the brook.

Woddworker, who me and her are getting... "friendly"... began to make some cages and barrels.
other than that, life is going good.

6 Hematite, 151
The miner has finished the stoneworking room, for what it's worth.

I'm glad for this. hopefully we can start mo

7 Hematite, 151
well, I was in the middle of writing the last journal entry when a FUCKTON of unicorns showed up.

scared the carp out of everyone.

We'll be relocating the stone stockpiles and workshops back inside for the next few days.

20 Hematite, 151
Ah, migrants!

they are...

a bowyer/surgeon/axedwarf
an eland
a donkey foal
and a carpenter/metalsmith

The carpenter gave us a bismuth bronze battle axe, saying he didn't need it. Raesnosz was elated.

2 Malachite, 151

The miner resurfaced from having dug the bedrooms, and happily reported he knows everything about digging, ever.

This is a good thing.

7 Hematite, 151
We've made a few more beds to accomadate the migrants. no more sleeping aboveground, we have rooms!

16 Hematite, 151
I was hauling wood, and a red fox scared the carp out of me. He continued to startle people, when raesnosz got so pissed that he hacked the thing's head off.

26 Hematite, 151
Mad doctor Urist has finished linking up the floodgates. we're going to test it on the fifth of next month.

5 Galena, 151

Success! the miner digs out some channels for it to flow, and we are celebrating!

7 Galena, 151
It appears that we left the floodgates open so long, that the entire room is now filled with knee-high water.

So, like all dwarves, we expanded the farm.

15 Galena, 151
Me and the woodworker have professed our love, and are planning to be married.

Notes:
the unicorn herd scared the shit out of me when I saw it. The relationship between gaaben and the woodworker was also a surprise.

hmm. apparently, people aren't bounding over walls to sign up. in that case, jacen might have to take the next turn...

anywho, here'e autumn.

3 limestone, 151

hmm?
eh.

6 Limestone, 151

oh fuck.
shit.
door off the dining room. noone is going in there, ever.

15 Limestone, 151
our buldog has given birth to a puppy, and the kitten a litter! good! more animals to kill things with!

24 Limestone, 151
We have run out of food. I am assigning planting to all dwarves.

25 Limestone, 151
We have run out of plump helmet seeds. we're now planting what we have.

27 Limestone, 151
A few more dwarves have decided to venture here, including a lye maker and...

HOLY SHIT.
His name is now savior.

2 Sandstone, 151
we have slaughtered a donkey for food.

12 Sandstone, 151
we reap the harvest. many plants have grown.

14 Sandstone
making more barrels for more booze.

20 Sandstone, 151
I have begun digging out a trade room for the upcoming caravan.

2 Timber, 151
the days are uneventful, but we have finished the trade room, and a connecting barracks.

5 Timber, 151

Aha! a caravan is here! they have arrived and are unloading their goods.

20 Timber, 151
We have finally negotiated the caravan into the hastily built trade room.

those fortifications don't help much.

22 Timber, 151
Negotiations have begun

I don't care if I take the next turn. If you want, we can do a repating list. Also, do we have any metal? Savior could craft some goblets for trade.
