And a few extra sacrifices and picks.

26: Farms

Does anybody beyond the noob stage need more than a couple of 3x3 plots?  With good farmers you'll have plenty of food, plenty of booze and probably dye/thread too.  I'm thinking that a hundred dwarves should need a little more than 40 sq feet of growing area to feed themselves.  With the recent updates we can see that humans claim giant patches of land for farming, and they're not sitting on mountains of grain after a year.

27: Weapon traps, one-tile path above a crater that may or may not be covered in spikes.

Enemies dodge and crack their skull/get impaled on the way down. If they don't dodge, they're likely to get beaten to a pulp by the weapon from the moment pain overcomes them, which should be soon enough. For extra sadism, add ramps with a way to the start of the path so they can try again. Don't even need to get useful weapons, just stuff training axes and simple wooden spikes in the traps, and you're good to go. You can even fetch the leftover goblinite yourself without any specific precaution.
Very easy to add extra ways to kill/force the enemies to dodge, too. Catapults, ballistas, marksdorfs, expendable cats or dogs, etc...

28)  Swords, axes, and poorly armored foes

Nothing is more disturbing/enjoyable than watching the entire area get covered by a rain of blood and body parts.  Oh wait, that was a novice?

Oh, hey, I forgot something important.

29: lashers.
... well, it certainly gives a game-breaking advantage to goblins, it counts.

Well balanced considering only dorfs have steel and praise-the-miner metal.

I used to be all about the fortifications, but then my dorfs ended up being shot through them.  No longer interested in making those death traps.

you need to force them to stay next to the fortification for them to shoot things. In example, fortification-floor-wall. Such formation will do the trick.
