Bio:  Due to an accident in the engineering corps (due to tampering) Michael was expelled with grevious injuries.  While suing the school he worked odd engineering jobs.  He suceeded in his suit and the suit paid for prosthetics for his arm and eye. Then the university blacklisted him but his friend, the financeer (NPC) suggested that he work on the exploration mission.

(if given permission he has a prosthetic arm and lens enhancement device for one eye [essentially flavor for magnifying and telescopic devices)

You mean a turret?

I think those red things in the pic are turrets, but I'm not sure.
