Its is the year 2371
The recently established HRE (High Republic of Earth) knows very little about the Universe. Having not enough money or time to explore and colonize itself, it does two things.
1. Have ever 20 by 20 mile radius on any uncolonized planet 50 dollars.
2. Make anyone appliable for a permit to explore and do missions for the HRE. Theres a wealthy pay and you can keep most of the spoils of your adventures!
You and your friends had no likings for "settling down" or living a boring life on some rock in the middle of no where. You choose the life of adventure. You went to the goverment with your friends and sgined for that permit!
You couldn't wait to get started! All that adventure and glory waiting for you in your minds, you were itching with excitement!
The goverment gave you a light frigate and told you to go to the station in the ATHENAIS-15 system.
And this is how you got here. Smack Damb in the middle of nowhere waiting for the warp engines to warm up. But first, who is part of the crew that mans this fine Vessel, and what shall you name it?
This is a game about reaching the to far depths of space and discovering its ancient sercets, and satch a fine amount of glory while your at it. The game has you completeing simple scouting missions for the HRE at first, but sooner new factions and new kinds of missions will be uncovered. The final goal of the game is get your names in the history books and make yourselves rich for the rest of your lives. You may also come across some of the more darker sercets of the Universe on your quest though, and some surprises you may never see coming...
You and your crew are all players, so without some form of voting on things you will be left babbling to yourselves.
When a player (Which is part of the game) makes a suggestion, you must all vote on it. The option with the most votes wins and everone must follow it. In the case of ties, the all mightly voice of guidenace (AKA Me and my random number generator) will choose your fate.
While you have a lot of freedom in this game, there are a few basic rules.
1. You may not buy another ship. (I do not want to make bigger and bigger ships tha none of you can hope to manage)
2. No killing other crew members.
3. No stupid actions (A certain level of sillness is allowed, but don't go crazy.)
4. No races besides Humans (This inculdes aliens disguiesed as humans) Untill said a species is meet and is not hostile.
4. Do not ask what rule number 4 is.
5. Asking what rule number 4 is will result in rocks falling for no good reason.
