Final Fantasy Versus 13

A new trailer has been leaked for Versus 13.  It has absolutely terrible video quality, although a HQ version is expected on the 27th.  About halfway through it starts showing the battle system.  Want it.  Now.  So damn cool.  I may have to move to Japan and learn Japanese to get this sooner.  Fast swordplay, guns, battle mechs, cool looking magic, BATTLE MECHS, switching between party members mid battle, explosions, tanks with gun turrets AND BATTLE MECHS!!!!!!!

*ahem*

It's hard to judge, but it seems that this will be a LOT less tunnely than FFXIII too.

PS: It has battle mechs.

Oh, man, I thought this was going to be another MMO, because you brought it up on this forum, and Square never releases PC games that aren't MMOs.  Now that I know it's going to just be another regular Final Fantasy game I really couldn't care less.  The combat system looks nice but no better than that of Kingdom Hearts...

Mmmk, moving on from the usual "lol FF# is best all others suck" rhetoric,

From the moment I heard about Versus and saw the first few screenshots I knew they were taking this one in a much different direction. I've been excited for it ever since. Seeing this new trailer makes me wish they had given this its own number, though, as it seems to deserve at least that much respect. The battlesystem looks pretty solid, even if it isn't my usual preference-- I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy it regardless. Guns and ridable vehicles/mechs look like a lot of fun, assuming they don't fudge up the controls.

Yup, pretty high hopes for this one!

Looks like they're going to be exploring the sandbox genre now. Looks pretty good, I'm hoping for some sweet online gameplay and character customization. One thing I aways hated on JRPG's is the fact I almost aways have to play some stupid hero type main character with stupid personality rather then creating my own.

Sorry dude, this one isn't online.  I think it's XIV you're looking for :)

I also remember hearing that they're bringing back the world map (finally) and pilotable aircraft for this one.
