So this is a new 'Build a city!' Thread. The now very-dead one is found Here. THe rules are below and should be very simple. No Artifacts. Major events have to be proposed and if people disagree 3 times in a row then it isnt canon. Major events would be killing off more than 10% of the population, killings of named characters. or anything that would be pretty out of the ordinary.

We also have no setting! How can we build a city without a time period, genre, or environment? Post some ideas! Like this:

Proposed name: X-ville
Proposed time: Middle-ages
Magic: YES/NO: YES
Gods: YES/NO: YES
General area: The city will be coastal, with a tropical forest nearby. The tropical forest contains a tribe of natives. The natives are friendly. The area is untamed.

I suggest an atlantis type of setting. Fun!

Yes. So just think up a general area, if you want magical elements (Dwarfs, fae and magic), gods (Divine powers and gods and avatars.) So for example..

The city of Owlsville is in a temperate, untamed area. It has a bay with access to the sea and protection from storms with miles of fertile land. There are mountains with some visible ore veins around half a day away. Inhabitants include a mountain tribe of nomadic hunters. They are friendly. Magic and gods exist with this world.

We can argue about what a cannon is and what is just a metal ball shooter instead?

Ayup.

Name: Datis
Time: Anytime!
Magic: Minor. Smaller transmutations and stuff is possible, but it's impossible to, say, destroy an entire country even with a hundred magi. (Unless it's Luxembourg or Andorra of course >_>)
Gods: Polytheistic, but non-existant gods (or unprovable ones at least)
General area: The sea. It's one of the magical towns in the world, and it floats on the water by enchantments cast  by mighty mages in ancient times. (Still need regular refills though. Like a ritual every ten years or so. could make a festival out of it). It thrives mostly on dealing with magical trinkets and fish.

Left some stuff intentionally vague so we can make stuff up as we play along.

The cave for me, personally i find it a bit silly that its called "The Cave" when its not actually in a cave, but whatever.
