Steel vs candy battleaxe?
« on: January 19, 2011, 12:19:08 pm »

What would be better? I know one is very light, but still WAY sharper.

So what could be considered better?
I would think the candy because it might just slice of limbs.

Much of the driving force behind an Axe comes from the weight of a dwarf and his muscles in conjunction with the weight and small edge of the blade.  A much sharper blade has a much smaller edge and therefore has more force behind it.  Being lighter it's easier to swing.  Being harder it's easier to break through other materials without damaging.  Theoretically it should be vastly superior at slicing up opponents whilst horrendous at blugeoning them to death.  Since an axe has a blade I'd imagine Candy is much more suited to it for forcasting light showers of body parts.

An Artifact Adamantine Battle-Axe?  You are very lucky!  That's probably one of the most useful artifacts you can get.  How valuable is it?

It is perhaps the best artifact you can get, possibly behind an adamantine scimitar (IIRC scimitars are made of kill).

One cannot ordinarily construct Scimitars, right?

And yes, an Adamantine Battle Axe is certainly the most valuable thing in the game... if not the most powerful.

I never get why you people censor yourselves. It's not like just about everyone knows about adamantine and the demons, it's not a big secret

Yeah, some people just come here for answers the wiki doesn't provide, and they don't want to read anything more than the answers they're after. Especially if someone randomly drops a massive creature spoiler in a topic about a material that by itself is only minorly spoilery.

When I first heard the term "Candy metal", I got curious and instantly clicked on every spoiler tag there was.

I heard about clowns/HFS/£, but I didn't know what was actually down there until I found it myself.
