So I was messing around in Fortress Mode when I noticed my weaponsmith go fey. So, why not; I let him go Planepack up a weapon and something like 30 pieces of adamantine later, I'm now in possession of what's quite possibly the most expensive short sword ever and it is just begging to be used in Adventure Mode. And so, I set off to play with it... and this is where things get weird.

When I pick it up, it's fine. And very, very sharp. I can pick it up multiple times with no error, but it doesn't show up in my inventory. If I drop it, it disappears but I can get another one where I found it in my fort. If I fast travel, it disappears.

Is this typical for artifacts in Adventure Mode, or is this thing bugged?

well I guess the game legends needs to update who owns that weapon, in game reason it's magical and doesn't accept you as it's rightful owner go out and make a name for your self before holding on to this weapon.

This is part of the strange behavior of artifacts in adventure mode, i think the safest way to take one from a fort, is to have your dwarfs store it in a bin and then have the adventure take the bin.

Ahhh, thank you. I was wondering if it was a side effect of Planepacking it.
