Is this supposed to happen? Donno if this is a bug or not.


Seems kind of cruel even for dwarves!

Fluffy wamblers are vermin, are your dwarves starving? That's the only reason they should be eating one.

That's something you had trapped, right? I guess that bug is still around then - dwarves will eat purring maggots, lizards, spiders, fish, any little small animal in a trap or aquarium apparently, even if you've got plenty of other food around.

The workaround that worked for me last version is:
build a food stockpile AROUND your aquariums/ponds. That way your dwarves will almost always be nearer to normal food. Except when they happen to be wading in your pond when they get hungry. Maybe in the new version you will also have to build food stockpiles one z-level above and one below your aquarium/pond.
