This topic could also be titled "signs that make you turn the f**k around and go home, immediately.".

Migrant 1: Urist, please remind me, why are we traveling to a fortress called Deadpit of all places?
Migrant 2: Well, would you prefer we'd press our luck with Justicehammer The purple Quest, or Anusrape The Intensity Of Burning?
Migrant 1: What about Warmthheavens The Glowing Hall? That sounds comfy.
Migrant 3: I'm not going there. My cousin and his friends tried to migrate there last season. Almost all of them died under mysterious circumstances. He was the only survivor, and now he keeps babbling incoherent stuff about magma chambers and bauxite levers.

One of my favorite custom fort names was Catcats the Buttery Doom of Cats.
I wanted something buttery in my custom names but was able to resist. So I ended up with a group called Fireseized the Immortal Hand of Mechanisms. Haven't got much mechanising done and I turned off invaders after realising how much crap they left lying around (there's something else to note for my next worldgen), but one of these decades, honestly, I WILL CRUSH THEM ALL.

I like my juvenile names to be just in the region where the RNG supplies half the dirtiness and your mind the rest. There's just not much to giggle about if you go all the way and call your fortress Anustunnels.

I am trying to make chickens lay bees as eggs. So far it only produces a single "Tame Small Creature" when a hen lays bees.
Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.

Idea for my next fortress:

'Heavyfort the king of gods' - Is that possible?

..Anusrape The Intensity Of Burning...

I wouldn't be surprised if it's actually possible to name your fort that way.

It is.
In fact I tried every name before I wrote that.

I think my first fortress was something like "Childslave the Anus of Angels", or something along those lines.
I also had one with a name I rather liked:  Treasurewhore, founded by the Golden Bear-Clan.

How do you squeeze those long names out of RNG? I've never seen it generating something more complicated than first-rear compound. My best fort was named Cloisterwilts and now I rule over the Floorspell and that's it.

I don't believe it ever does generate more than that but you can change it to a different one yourself.

I'm going with a nice simple name because I liked the way it was spelled in Dwarfish (Dwarvish, Dwarfen, Dwarven?)"

Anrizgast:
Skycleft

Founded by

The Royal Labors

The idea is to build a platform/cube upon which the fortress will be built on/in.

With [SLOW_LEARNER], dwarves probably don't sit around and talk anymore. They just stand in the same corner altogether, staring at each other, sticking their bearded lips out trying to make sounds. And giggling when someone actually says a whole word.
