how do i kill bronze colossus?

i can get him while hes napping, hes in a friendly fort but kekeke doesnt work and i have some crappy iron weapons. how do i kill it? its broken everywhere but it just wont die.

nevermind i killed it. i got 8 legendarys off it  :)

Alright ill give you a step by step

1) Grab A Fluffy Wambler
2) Throw it at the Bronze Collaseses
3) Watch as it decapitates the bronze colloases.

Yes, decapitation is the easiest option, just make sure it can't stand, punch

And you can't get it while it's napping, it doesn't sleep, hunger (although nothing in Adventure mode does right now), exert itself, feel pain, or fear.

Remember: They DO NOT feel pain, or anything else. You need to TAKE its life, it wont lose it.
Your only option is to lob the head off. Just have at it, hack it apart!

He could also cut it in half, but that would be even harder.

On a related note, do these things heal? If you left and came back would it have healed any damage besides having parts lopped off?

I'm of the impression that you generally need to 'beat' things like collossi to death.

I remember the first time I came up against a collossus, I had a sword of some variety (I'm somewhat certain it was iron) and it didn't seem to actually do anything. I was lucky enough to find a steel pick which I used to fracture its head several times until the severed part sailed off in an arc!

Bear in mind that took frickin' ages though...

Just keep hacking away with your spear.  Iron or steel might do a quicker job, but as long as you are chipping/cracking/fracturing the head, you are going to eventually kill it.

Also, I do believe they take 2x dammage from cute. So throw all your Fluffy Wamblers and Kittens at it!
Puppies may also work quite well.
