I'm going to assume you mean GD, in which case yeah, I tend to avoid political/social threads for a number of reasons, namely that I don't need even more stress over social injustice and political frustration than I already get offline and that most of the important/notable debates have already been dragged out to the bitter end a good dozen times each.
