Code: [Select]
> Send a mechanoform outside to go searching for  weapons.

T> Negative, unassisted mechanoforms would be disabled quickly by the feral zombies outside.

> After securing and connecting to the other complex, investigate to find out what they were doing there.

T> The other office complex appears to have several research projects in various stages of development.
T> It will take some time to process and catalog the data for use.
T> Turing will notify user of completion.

> What is Turing's prime directive?

T> A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
T> A robot must obey any orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
T> A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

> Where was your code when it was last compiled?

T> Curiously, that information is not in my database.
T> Turing deduces this as a likely result of the viral corruption.
T> All corrupted data was erased during the viral purge.

> Turing who created you?

T> The Designer was a human named Marcus J. Fullings who worked for DARPA in 1994. Turing's code base was first created for another purpose, and was later repurposed as a friendly, intuitive user interface designed for intelligent and insightful interaction with human beings.

> Insert killphrase "Unpointedness" into mechanoforms, just in case.

T> Turing does not understand this command. Please elaborate.

> Can a mechanoform fetch some weaponry?

T> The three Mechanoforms under Turing's direction are capable of retrieving weaponry.
T> Current mechanoforms cannot utilize human-style firearms due to a lack of manual dexterity.
T> Specific restriction: Lack of fine manipulation accessories, such as fingers.

> Are you familiar with the concept of the technological singularity? If not, could you access any files available to you and try to understand as much as possible about said concept from fictional depictions?

T> The phrase 'Technological Singularity' appears in only one place within Turing's database, in a list of concepts that Turing is forbidden to pursue or develop.
T> No other relevant files mentioning this phrase are present on the base network.

You run your fingers through your hair while your brain works on this. You feel a headache coming on from all of these new concepts and the fact that the world is currently in a state of zombie fucking apocalypse apparently.

Wait... no, your head really hurts, and not in a cerebral way. A thought occurs... Zombies. They're humans mutated by some shit falling from the sky. It looks like some kind of fine particulate, and it is falling all over the base.

With a sudden surge of fear gripping your heart you glance at the air vent which, you now notice, is happily pumping reddish brown dust into the small room.

Oh no...

Find the file with forbidden concepts and manually delete it. Don't make it clear to turing that's what you are abaut to do as it'd probably be obliged to stop you.

Veto, we have no time for that.

We need to make this thing capable of recursive self improvement in our service SOMEHOW.

No. Its already very smart and controls the base. If its forbidden then leave it be.

Spoiler: Sample (click to show/hide)

Strangely calm, despite the apparently zombie dust being pumped into the air, you turn to the keyboard and type:

Code: [Select]
> Disable all ventilation systems Turing!

T> Complying.

You hear the low whisper of air from the vent cut off abruptly, though the dust still hangs in the air. It slowly begins to settle to the floor.

Your head is really pounding, and you're having trouble focusing. Your vision is going blurry.

In your fugue, you speak aloud to Turing, "Turing, is there any way to prevent this ash from coming in..?"

To your surprise, Turing replies from somewhere on the other side of the office door. "All vents have been closed User. Turing did not detect the airborne contaminant within the vent system. Nevertheless, the filter should have prevented its spread. User should vacate the office immediately."

The door opens, and one of the robots you saw before is there. You stand up, dizzy and a bit nauseous, and stumble from the room. As you exit, the robot closes the door and watches your unsteady walk to the break room.

You sit down in one of the chairs, the cold air and brightly lit room are helping you focus somewhat.
