My fellow men, dwarves, goblins, elves, kobolds and gnomes, after the fleeing of the dwarves this arena falls to the hands of men, and to start our reign we shall bring you fights of dwarves and elfs, but first tonight we have a fight of kobolds.

Shooty wastes no time in nocking an arrow and letting it fly, to strike the distant McGruff in the right hand, giving off a spray of blood.
McGruff sprints across the arena as Shooty nocks yet another arrow.
The bronze arrow loosed from Shooty's featherwood bow tears into the left hand of McGruff and remains there, causing him to be unable to hold that steel short sword.
McGruff attacks Shooty McShooterton but He jumps away!
McGruff slashes at Shooty McShooterton making contact with his right hand, tearing it through the small forgotten beast leather right glove!
McGruff attacks Shooty McShooterton again but He jumps away, nocking yet another arrow!
The loosed bronze arrow strikes McGruff in the right upper leg, tearing the skin!
McGruff attacks Shooty McShooterton but He jumps away!
McGruff kicks Shooty McShooterton in the right upper arm with his right foot, that'll bruise!

well my comp that runs DF better than my '99 IBM notebook has a Pentium III... don't worry folks it's coming.
It will probably come all at once though

btw what program do you use to make .gifs from pictures?

Gimp, though it can do just about any picture file type by extension, its very powerful...I use it with mspaint to do just about everything, I'd say its the easier part of making the battle (print screen, paste, new layer, crop to select save as .gif, #millisecs between frame, save) coming up with flavor text is by far more hard.
