Well! This is interesting. yesterday evening you were sitting in your room, stuffing your face with cookies, and hacking. nothing black hat, mind, just poking around for kicks. eventually, you managed to break into the main file server for MegaCorp, who owns nearly half the Goods and Services industry around here. after poking around a bit more, you decided to go to bed, so, after backtracking and deleting logs, you shut down the computer and went to sleep. this morning, you woke up, and, as is your habit, turned on your computer. after logging in, you turn on your web browser and your favorite code editor, but as they're loading you see something in the middle of your desktop. it's a simple text file, titled READ_ME_PLEASE.txt. What is that doing there, you think. you open it up. in it is written:

You jot down both numbers on a sheet of scrap paper from when your printer malfunctioned. you then go over to your best friend Paul's apartment and ring the doorbell. you stand outside his door for a while, but no-one answers. you press the button again, and this time you hear some movement. the door opens, but it is Cathy, Paul's girlfriend, who answers the door, wearing a blanket.

"Hi, ... Oh, what was your name again? Sorry, i have memory problems. Half the time i can't even remember Paul's name."

"Oh yeah, Ruben. again, i'm sorry. did you come here to see PeterimeanPaul?"

I mean MegaCorps'.

"Um... yeah. I need to use the phone, first.

"okay. come right in. it's in the kitchen. I think."

You thank Cathy, walk in, and turn the corner to the small apartment's kitchen. Cathy's memory, this time, seems to be correct, you think as you reach for the phone and dial MegaCorp's number, then the extension. the phone rings twice, before being picked up.

"Hi, MegaCorp IT department, Shane speaking."

"I recieved a text file on my computer's desktop with this phone number on it sometime during the previous night. Is there someone interested in me?"

"Yes, me. and my superiors. Last night, i caught you snooping on our file server, and watched your actions for a while, and did a bit of snooping myself, back through your daisy-chain. fortunately, i managed to get the messasge to you before you back-tracked and shut down. I, and my superiors, have been looking for someone of your capabilities for a while. are you interested in a job?"
