Trap components and copper

Lets say that a guy wanted to defend his fort mainly with traps. Lets say that a guy would do this, but only while using large serrated discs because he wants the battles to be gore. Lets say that this guy had very few good metals in his map, having only copper in large numbers...

If I made a weapon trap with ten (10) large serrated discs of copper, would it kill a armored goblin running into it? Would it kill him only after running into ten of these traps?

Depending on quality, it's possible that the disc could hit an unarmored body part and the goblin could bleed out, but I wouldn't bet on it.

i had 1 no quality iron serrated disk in a trap and a goblin exploded in it

Goblins only come with metal helms and breastplates in vanilla, unless he dodges he'll end up without hands and legs.

For especially gory disposal of invaders, I prefer long bridges (30x3 is a good size) over 10-level-deep pits (10 levels is the magic drop height that makes creatures explode into parts instead of just taking a lot of damage).

I have had cats, mountain goats, and groundhogs regularly survive a 10 level fall.  20 has been the magic number for me.

While adding magma to anything will make it dwarfy, adding the word "magma" to your post does not necessarily make it funny.

3 wide corridor, 10 squares down the length are assorted silver warhammers and iron serrated discs. Each trap is fully loaded.

Why not let them break their legs in the fall, and leave them there in their own pain until you Pull the Lever?

With said lever being attached to magma, of course.

Foolprooof way to penetrate aquifers of unlimited depth.  (Make sure to import at least 10 stones for mechanisms)
Toughen Dwarves by dropping stuff on them.  (Nothing too heavy though, and make sure to wear armor.)

I made 120 copper warhammers for the trap corridor. Levelled up the weaponsmith...

This is a useful feature..and this is DF.. so im gonna assume its bugged
That's what cages and minecart shotguns are for!  We don't need to control them.  We just need to aim them.

Spiked balls would be good if they behaved as blunt weapons which they don't seem too. I learned this when my silver spiked balls were repeatedly being deflected by bronze armor.
