Yeah, nothing really happened.
I had hoped that we would get lucky, and Anya would run out of the sewer the way me and Spoon were, thereby assembling the group as well as providing a mission and a goal. Alas, Anya stumbled into a waygate and went home, while me and Spoon split on not-enemy terms. Jharic is convinced Spoon isn't the guy who lead the trollocs (because, come on, how would that guy lead
anything), but he still has no clue what his actual agenda is. He's curious though, and he'll hang around the outskirts of Cairhien in case he spots more trollocs or the like. Although right now he's simply resting at his camp with the supplies he hunted for earlier, recuperating his lost HP.
I guess I'll do another write-up of the entire event, although I probably should have copy-pasted the conversation Jharic and Spoon had...
EDIT: Ooh, you did miss out on something! Me and Spoon both netted ourselves 50 hard-earned exp for roleplaying. Jharic is now all the wya up at 157, nearly 1/5th of the way to his first level-up
SUMMARY: As to where the group is at...
When we left, Anya was running through the sewers, having just narrowly dodged a pair of trollocs. Her measly 4 HP would never be able to stand up to a real trolloc, so she's making her way through the dark and stinking sewers, not sure whether or not she dares light an orb or not. After all, it was the orb of light that made the trollocs spot her last time. But without the orb, would it have been any different, and would she have spotted the trollocs then?
Jharic and Demonicon are outside of a sewer entrance away from the city. A trolloc is dead on the ground and Jharic has a large gash across his back.
Jharic demands explanations from Demonicon. Twice now, Jharic has stumbled into Demonicon seemingly at random, and both encounters have involved trollocs in one shape or the other. Is demonicon a darkfriend, perhaps a leader of some sorts of the trollocs?
Demonicon attempts to make Jharic believe that it is because the trollocs hunt
him. The trolloc Jharic had just now slain was, in fact, running away from the brave Demonicon, hunter of trollocs.
Jharic buys none of it. He has seen Demonicon (try to) fight, and he would have no chance against a child, let alone a trolloc.
The discussion goes back and forth. Demonicon doesn't manage to convince Jharic of his fighting prowess or intentions at all, but Jharic does realize that if Demonicon is too short and fat to pose a threat to the trollocs, he would not be able to pose a threat to anyone else either. Having the short little Treekiller lead the trollocs? Just as unlikely as him hunting them.
Jharic gives the picture of a girl to demonicon, and urges him to take it to whichever people guard Cairhien. If the trollocs were after someone, it's worth investigating. But obviously, this should be done by people competent. Demonicon is not likely to find any such people in Cairhien, Cairhien being Cairhien after all, but he should at least be able to find people more competent than himself.
hopefully. Jharic urges Demonicon to not pursue the girl himself, as he'd just end up in a cooking pot.
With that, the two part. Jharic returns to the camp he has made himself in the wilderness outside of Cairhien. There he recovers his wound while living of the stored wild he hunted a few days prior. Demonicon sets fire to a twig and heads back into the city...
... Meanwhile Anya has dared to light a slight light in the sewers, so she can at least see any dangers she might run into. Instead she baffles as she passes a wall that does not fit into the rest of the sewer at all. The masonry is different, the stone appearing much, much older than the rest of the sewerworks. And on the surface of the stone is an intricate pattern of leaves, looking as if they have been gently disturbed by a cool breeze...
Demonicon heads up into the city and appears, seemingly at random, in front of a nobleman's mansion. For no reason known to him, he says aloud, to no one in particular, "I need to speak with the noble. I know where his daughter is.". The guard that is right in front of him appears to take this as a sign of conversation, and demands explanation. Demonicon shows him the picture he had been given by Jharic, and the guard agrees that it is the noble's daughter. Demonicon is lead into the mansion.
Inside he approaches the nobleman, now knowing that the girl on the picture is indeed the nobleman's daughter (such luck!), and requests treasure in return for saving the girl. The nobleman says that this is indeed a fortunate turn of events, that he loves his daughter much, and that Demonicon would be rewarded if he returns the poor girl to the nobleman. Demonicon senses no lies. Demonicon insults the nobleman, then walks off.
... Anya has found her way out of the sewer now, and returns to her lodgings. She hastily scribbles down notes of everything that has happened so far today...
Demonicon gathers his donkeys and heads into the sewers, assuming that if the picture of the girl was found on a trolloc in the sewers,
naturally the girl must be in the sewers as well. He finds a dirty pig walking around in a lovely pile of filth, and he claims it as his own. He proceeds to explore the sewers, but encounters a large swarm of rats. He runs as fast as him and his small animal collective can, and finds an exit. He then goes back in to explore even more, and finds the rats again. Once again, he tucks his tail between his legs...
