Looking for world gen: Beach Volcano

I want to catch whales and build a giant aquarium, does anyone have a world gen with a volcano on the beach? Alternatively how can I prevent volcanoes from increasing the land around them so that they are closer to the beach?

Volcano's forming in the ocean would give you what you're looking for. Use a really late year for erosion. Should work wonders.

A beach cliff volcano is like the Holy Grail; it can't happen by code unless you cheat using a map creator.

I've come across a couple, but only by using the Perfect World application to get all my volcanoes to straddle the coastline. One was a real beauty, too: the volcano sat right at the edge of the water, one z-level above the sand.

I must be missing something here, i just gen'd a world with a volcano a single tile(embark tile) away from ocean. Defense Mod being my only mod.

I believe he wants flat, no extra elevation.

I have a flush volcano with a brook and nothing but red sand if you want :)

So far in my experiments with a 2000 year island I've managed to get a volcano tile only 3 away from the ocean, but the ocean was still very small when I embarked despite me getting 2 tiles of it.

I should just pick a beach I like and pump up the magma from the magma sea.

I tried this before. You can get an easy beach magma vent in 40d. But in DF 2010 volcanoes only appear on mountains.

And a mountain is as far opposite the elevation of the ocean as you can get. So Jack your elevation variance WAY up.

I actually do have a 4x4 embark with a beachside volcano, although it's not suitable for your purpose. The embark is a frozen taiga with a tiiiny shred of ocean at one edge, and the volcano is right on the shore; the magma and the sea ice are on the same level.
