Three way door bedroom design question
« on: January 14, 2011, 07:56:15 pm »

Using the diagram on the wiki I'm trying to apply the design for my bedrooms but I don't understand where the doors go, I know where the stairs and walls are but there doesn't seem to be a symbol for door or at least I'm missing it.  Can someone help explain this?

The person who made the diagram doesn't appear to have put in any doors, which is probably why you're not seeing them.

Judging from the "three-way doors" name, I'd guess that the doors are intended to be in a Y-pattern, with the stairs in the center. Like this:

D=D
=X=
=D=

With Ds as doors, the X as the central staircase, and =s as walls. The door at the northwest allows access to the 2 northwestern rooms, the northeast door to the 2 northeastern rooms, and the southern door to the 2 southern rooms. You could also mirror the door pattern north-to-south as well.

Or if by three way door you mean this :

#####
#CBC#
##D##

D = Door
# = Wall
B = Bed
C = Cabinent/chest

As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.

Pretty sure this is what is intended by the design. I personally prefer the living pods design, but that's just me.
