Massive piles of loot outside my walls

Hey all, running 31.18 and I'm on the 12th year of this fortress.

I have enormous amounts of loot from fallen enemies crowding much of the surface of my map... how the hell do I get rid of it??

I have stockpiles of every type with plenty of room left in them designated beneath my fortress, and all of the loot is UNforbidden.... my dorfs used to go out and pick it up but lately they've just... given up on it.

All of the refuse labors under the j
  • bs screen are activated.

This was my issue. Then you can just dump everything.

Thanks for the reply... like I said this is already activated, all of the orders under j'o'bs are activated.. the goods are not marked to be dumped, I expect them to be placed in my ample finishedgoods/armor/weapons/clothes/leather stockpiles but for some reason they are not being gathered

Just make a metric ass ton of bins. Should cure any possible space issue.

They MAY have been claimed by dwarfs, if this happens, only the dwarf which has claimed them will touch them. And then only to store them in closets.

Do your dwarfs have rooms with closets/chests/whatever in them?

Hmmm I've never tried dumping goods before actually, I just hoped they would get put in my existing stockpiles.. I'm not sure how to do it actually..

I've marked a few goods to be dumped but nothing has happened so far.. are they supposed to be dumped into my existing refuse stockpiles?? (which still have plenty of room)

Yep. I'd guess they've been claimed.
I'm not sure if dwarfs will store them or not, possesions may be bugged since the economy was removed.

Nevermind.. thanks so much for the garbage dump idea... it never occured to me and thanks to the wiki I got it to work, my map looks clean again =)

.... still a mystery as to why they werent being stored in my stockpiles though

Is it possible to build a 2x1 drawbridge and atomsmash one tiles worth of contents? Thinking about doing this just to get rid of the crap these bastards are leaving around my fortress....

I WAS going to go with "magmaify the ENTIRE outside. Every single tile" but you just had to go and ruin it.
