Roll To Howl! - TURN 16: Bad Designs
« on: January 13, 2011, 11:51:38 pm »

I'm going to try GMing an RTD again. (I reread my previous one and became INSPIRED.)
Quote from: The Rules
REGULAR ROLLS
The roll table is using a d12 as the roll-y die. It goes from 0 to 13, obviously, you can only achieve 0 and 13 with a good(or bad) bonus.
If a bonus/penalty causes a roll to go below 0 or above 13, it's treated as a 0 and 13, respectively.

 (0) Epic Failure - The gods do not like you. You will most likely die from this, taking others with you, and destroy whatever you were working on.
[1] Ungodly Failure - You utterly failed. Whatever you were doing probably mostly destroyed or caused you to severly injured yourself or others around you.
[2] Terrible Failure - The task was apparently too daunting for you and you likely really hurt yourself or made things worse.
[3] Worse Failure - You could not finish your task and probably hurt yourself or made things worse.
[4] Bad Failure - You were unable to accomplish your task and unlikely scratched yourself or made things slightly worse.
[5] Normal Failure - You were not able to accomplish your task.
[6] Normal Success - You accomplished your task. Nothing special.
[7] Good Success - You accomplished your task and managed to learn a little something. (+1 Skill)
[8] Better Success - You accomplished your task a little better than you were supposed to. (+1 Skill)
[9] Best Success - You accomplished your task a little better than you were supposed to and learned some new tricks in the process! (+2 Skill)
[10] Great Success - You managed to pull out the best in you and solve the problem! (+3 Skill)
[11] Awesome Success - You managed to tap into some hidden knowledge and solve the problem! This hidden knowledge sticks! (+5 Skill)
[12] Godly Success - By some unknown force, you perfectly complete your task! (+8 Skill)
[13] Overshot Success - You manage to perfectly pull off whatever you were doing! But, whoops, you over did it! (+13 Skill)

Yay! We're full. :)

TURN 0
A friendly human arrives at the camp one day. He speaks that the village has gathered a mob and are going to search the forest for you. He also tells you how they had imported a couple of silver weapons. He finishes by saying that he's going to skip town and this is the last you'll see of him, then he promptly leaves. You all can hear some humans shouting in the distance.

Begin cutting wood for crafting while whistling a tune. Nobody suspects someone who's not hiding.

(How is the lycanthropy and shapeshifting gonna work? will we just transform whenever?)

Patrol the camp, alerting the rest when the mob comes.

TURN 1

Listen to the yelling

You listen carefully at the distant shouting. (1) You thing you hear them say "Tear shit flames! Come faun breads set hen!" just as the shouting fades. Moments later, you hear "FEAST ILL HATE A DANCE! LET SMOOTH MOM!"

Begin cutting wood for crafting while whistling a tune. Nobody suspects someone who's not hiding.
You begin to carve something casually to act human. (5) You attempt to carve a wolf. The tail fell off and you made the body a little skinny.

hide like my life depends on it, and look for pickpocket oportunities
You decide to find a nice place to hide while the mob comes through. (4) You find a nice tree that can mostly conceal you. You also keep your hand ready to pick some pockets.

Find silver weapons, steal them
You stalk out into the wilderness towards the mob. (13) Your expert stealth training causes you to go basically invisible to any attempts to see you. (+13 skill) A couple of the guys up front are holding the silver weapons, which appear to be tridents. You move in front of them and attempt to steal them. (6) You watch for a moment then take an opportunity to nab one of the tridents. The man appears confused and the mob halts as the other man with a silver weapon starts yelling at him. They stop and look around and one of them say "Must've been one uh dem weres!" The apparent leader says "Well..." he hesitates "WE STILL HAVE A CHANCE! LET'S MOVE ON!" You casually step out of the way as they charge pass you.

(How is the lycanthropy and shapeshifting gonna work? will we just transform whenever?)

Patrol the camp, alerting the rest when the mob comes.
(Yeah, basically. But it's morning right now, so going hybrid would hurt you lycans.)

You patrol the camp for humans. A breeze passes by you with no apparent cause. (7) You can here the humans shouting, then there's a small silence, then more yelling.(+1 Skill) Something arrives in the distance. (12) Definitely the mob. One of them have a silver trident, another has no weapon, and all the others have regular tridents. There's at least 8 of them. The front one says "Hey, look!" Another says "A camp?" (+8 Skill) You move on and warn the others, you can't seem to find Sonia, though.

Climb the tree, getting ready to jump on top of somebody (preferably stomping the man with the silver trident).

+2 to intimidate, +3 to sense, +4 to melee
