So......

Anyone up to playing some games in the next 4-ish hours? The community seems to have set itself upon playing Seton's Clutch 4vs4 all the time(apparently the DSD of TA has its own versions across the RTS genre).

Anyone interested in playing some games with the Sorian AI? It seems like its at least semi competent and can be a great teammate.

The AI will recognize and react to certain ally chat commands.

The AI will notify allies of who the AI's primary target is.

The AI will notify allies about when and where the AI is firing nukes through chat and a map ping.

The AI will respond to enemy T4 threats.

The AI will upgrade its commander.

Improved Sim speed over the retail Forged Alliance AI.

Many of the bugs and typos in the retail Forged Alliance AI have been fixed.

Improved econ and build orders.

The AI will refrain (as much as possible) from shooting into cliffs.

I recently got the original copy of supreme commander, I already have Forged Alliance, but you can only play as those blasted aliens with it, original was required. Also I got a new computer that can actually run the thing so as soon as I figure out why GPGnet won't let me into games I'll try and get into some multiplayer matches.

Did you install the original last? If so, uninstall and reinstall the expansion. You may lose your saved data, but the campaign isn't interesting anyway. I had some issues with the way out dated GPG lobby of the original, reinstalling the expansion overwrites it with the more up to date expansion GPG, which should help.

To keep this up and let people see it, what is your favorite faction and why?

I often choose UEF because their faction experimentals aren't that great, with fatboy being the only meaningful front line one. It forces me to be a bit more craftful than just spam Spiderbots and throw them at the enemy. I also like the, I think its called the "Big Boy", tactical nuclear launcher. Its basically an upgraded tactical missile launcher that is placed on your ACU. It can take out an entire defense position if its unshielded(and no tac missile defense), or a fatboy if its a direct hit. I haven't really tried it on anything else, but can probably one or two hit a commander.

The heavy transports also fits into my play style, along with their not-so-quite direct weapon fire, due to the arc created by the shells.
