Hi.  Am I the only newbie and the rest of you experienced players or are there more of us?  Just wondering, do we play Mon-Fri since weekends count as zero hours?

Pretty much everyone playing is a newbie in some sense of the word, so don't worry about that.

You're free to play on Saturday and Sunday, no problems there, they just count as zero hours because weekends tend to be inactive and slow around here.

Feel free to ask me any questions here in the thread.  Remember, I'm as clueless as you folks are about the setup; I'm here to be impartial.

Why are you voting so early? You have no information. I know Day 1 lynches rarely prove useful, but shouldn't you at least wait until you have some info before voting?

It's standard practice to vote someone and ask them a question as your first post of the game. The vote is, of course, generally disregarded, but any reactions to that vote are worth noting.   At the beginning, when there's so little to go on, every little bit counts.

How would you play as town? as scum?
Do you think we should roleclaim?
What do you think are scumtells?

Twice before.
As town I would do my best to get a list of comprehensive reads on each player, and since it's a newbie game, not try to pull any fancy gambits.
As scum I would try to be as confusing as possible, and try to throw my votes around seemingly randomly
Roleclaiming in this variant is a good way to lose as town.
I think scumtells are when people act like scum. ()

I've found out that I'm not having fun, so if y'all lynched me it'd be a favor.

I'd rather be vanilla for the first (two) games Cap.

Really, the issue is that if you don't talk we know nothing about you and can't vote for/against you except for on silence.

It won the day on sorcerer 1 (and 2 I think).
