Urist McTrapper has claimed a magma forge.

He has;  gold bars, rhesus marque bone, wax opals, mountain goat bone, cow bone, almandines and red spinels. 

What will he make? And are bone artifacts still bugged?

Maybe as a bludgeon?  Unless you want to mod in the workshop reaction for blowdarts, you're SOL.  Cave animal people sometimes have some ammo, but they don't make more.

I think you should list the dwarf's highest moodable skill(s). That way, we know ahead of time what kind of stuff to expect from, say, a lye maker who claims a forge.
