It looks good but $55 USD for a 4 year old game? Anyone play it? Would you recommend it?

I have sunken thousands of hours into this game. I think it's very much worth it.

Alot of people don't like the micromanaging side of it though.

Alot of people don't like the micromanaging side of it though.

especially since many issues could have been solved easily.

I'd totally recommend buying it - if you're into multiplayer games. If all you want to do is do a singleplayer, then you can certainly spend your money better than that.

Multiplayer is where the real depth and breadth of the possibilities provided shows. Have a look at some of the games we've had on these boards - there's been six rounds so far in the Play With Your Buddies section - and try to get a feel for how it plays.
