Can anyone honestly say that if people had no guns they wouldn't use melee weapons?
Can anyone honestly say that this wouldn't be much cooler?

Okay you're right. Everyone knows an iron war hammer is the single best weapon for home defense.

There weren't school shootings in the 40s, 50s, or 60s. Back when you could buy them through the mail. They were incredibly easy to buy with little to no qualifying factors. And there weren't school shootings.
Guy, there has been 17 school shooting in Europe. About 107 in America!

As for no guns shooting in the 40s to 60s, there just weren't as many poeple owning a gun. Society was different too.

Hey Goro, do you know how many poeple died for your hobby? I'll just stick with Dwarf fortress.

How many people died for my hobby?  well lets just see, lemme go get the entire list of American soldier casualties, since they died to protect my freedom to bear arms.....

No, no they didn't, don't be an idiot. Soldiers die for many reasons, not 'to protect blah blah blah'. The biggest reason, atleast for american soldiers, is becouse they are idiots who joined the army, sorry if it's offencive but if you join a force willingly where its likely you are going to die I think you're stupid. But as the the current war? It has nothing to do with our freedoms, it's basicly a religious war without being 'in our face' about at this point. America was attacked by extermist psychos, we attacked back then moved away from the guys who did it to attack more musliems on a bullshit excuse. Please don't make this about war and just keep it on topic, the 'soldiers died to protect blah blah blah' thing is old and has never been intelligent.

Except it's unlikely to die in the military.

And please don't make this a blog about how evil America is.

How about we just agree that the American people's right to bear arms hasn't been threatened by an external force since the Revolutionary War?  The individual freedom to own a firearm being a considerable factor then, and not a factor of any war since.

I'm not, I'm an american myself and as I said earlier I approve of the gun laws we have now. I was just trying to not make people do the soldiers died excuse which is annoying when you've seen it fifty times before.

You really have no shame.
There hasn't been A SINGLE war in the whole of American history led to give you that "right" to bear arms.
The soldiers among them who did enroll voluntarily had absolutely nothing of that kind in mind and you come and claim that they all sacrifice their life so that you can play with your fucking gun-toy ?

That or you're a troll.

So all police officers are firefighters are stupid for choosing an occupation where they put themselves in danger of harm?

As none of us can actually be dwarves, hugging our children with bear arms and defending our houses castles with giant steel hammers will just have to come close enough.
