They also never have sun.

If you go far enough north the days last near six months. Plenty o' sun.

The parts of Canada that always have snow are the parts without any sun.

MAAAAAAAAAAAN

I guess I could settle for "half a year of snow".
Although that probably means half a year of sun and half a year without.
Hmm.

twenty degrees colder than whatever you've got at the moment isn't so bad in theory
I, for one, would not welcome -20F weather.

Meh, 40 is awful.
Too warm for snow, too cold for t-shirts.

Yeah, 70 isn't much of a difference to 90.

Because it's not from a Touhou game?
That's silly criteria.
Besides, it could be from anything.

Yeah, 70 isn't much of a difference to 90.

Yes it is.
70 is pretty okay but really hot after you've been in the winter. Spring-summer transition.
90 is, around where I live, "summer"
50 is generally fall here.
And 10-20 is winter.

Unless you live where it's always hot, where 70 really isn't that different from 80 or 90 or maybe 100 or 110, you don't care, you just run to your car and drive to work and run to work and run to your car again and drive home and run inside.

There's only about a foot on the ground now, but the high for the next few days (and today) is supposed to be 7*F. (-13.9*C) It's supposed to start snowing like crazy (3 feet or so) in the following days, and then immediately start warming up until it all melts and we get flooding.

Goddamn I hate eastern Washington. North Dakota temperatures, snowstorms, windstorms, flooding, firestorms, thunderstorms, sandstorms... you name it, we've got it. Except hurricanes and tornadoes. They're too afraid.
Actually...   And naturally, all it hit was a barn.  Welcome to eastern Washington!

Technically we get dust devils all the time, and tornadoes are incredibly rare, averaging one every ten years. Any hurricane that gets here will find that I'm already fleeing the country.

Oh yes I just remembered that mom said it rained mud once at WSU when she was going to school there.

Is... is that true?  Or even possible? o_O

WSU is in Pullman, so it's possible it was just horribly polluted rainwater.

At risk of sounding like a troll I am going to crack a single joke in this thread.
