Mercury. If it's good enough for the first emperor, it's good enough for me.

Yeah, I know, not in the game to begin with, but I can dream, right? Besides, mercury vapors is as good an explanation for dwarf behavior as any.

Messing around with magma for the first time.  Still haven't produced a !!dorf!!, but I've discovered the wonders of not having to worry about fuel, i.e. SMELT EVERYTHING IN SIGHT.  HEY URIST, BRING ME THAT KITTEN, LET'S SEE IF WE CAN SMELT THAT TOO.

I just think the idea of goblins struggling though thick, sticky, syrup is funny.

I think Toady's confusing interface better simulates the experience of a bunch of disorganised drunken dwarves running a fort.

Magma will say a dorf.

but a REAL dorf will love magma and booze so

Booze i say, with some magma serpentines to keep it warm...
the moatkeeper/brewmaster will gladly observe goblin/elves/cheesemaker/whathever being dissolved by the 234% dorfish booze, and then proceed to still some of it to create(with netherwood of course) an awesome barrel of goblinspiced, elflavoured, Dorf Scotch...

Urine, and perhaps a bit of feces to spice it up.

I'm going to install my toilets above the moat so that anyone wants my riches then by Armok they should have to swim trough my shit to get it!

They decided to leave my fortress via the circus because the front door was locked to keep Goblins out.  THAT should be an interesting trip back to the Mountainhome.

Molten lead, because of the lower melting point and because we would then have something to do with all of that galena.

Hey, respect for cheese makers. I had a high master cheesemaker who had good 10 notable kills and 85 non-notables as MCaptain with an adamantine short sword. Catten Lolornefek Duraddak Dakas. But that fort became a bit boring so I'm doing other things now. :P

I suppose any sort of venom or toxin. Punching skull shards through goblin brains is all well and good, but watching them stumble around in a puddle of sludge that used to be their skin seems a lot more unique and dwarfy in it's brutality.

Booze. I will make great pools of every variety of alcohol imaginable into which I will drop the coffins of my favorite dwarves. Then I will add fire.

Blood moat. And i'm not talking about blood that's just poured in by the bucket brigade. It will be filled with the blood of enemies that fall in it and bleed to death. Yes, not just generic Cat and Noble blood, but the very blood of those foolish enough to attack me.

Mercury.

I'm sure dwarves are completely resistant to the hazardous effects of all heavy metals.  So a moat that your dorfs can backstroke in, that will kill other races outright?  Yes, I do think so.

Molten metal. After that, blood, and then a booze-pool in the meeting hall. If I ever figure out how to do it properly and get the right "resources", FB extract.
