Just so everybody knows, there are now six types of armour plus clothing. In rough order of protection and complexity of crafting:

Padded - Studded - Scale - Chain - Plated Chain - Plate

They each have different strengths. Padded is the best at absorbing crushing, while plate is king of slashing. Chain is useless against crushing. You can wear two different types over clothing at a time.

Be glad I have the Survivor trait.  It makes it much more likely I'll survive (or have to draft a new character, which will be radically different from the first :P)

Indeed, Survivor specifically makes you less likely to die from long-term effects including blood loss, starvation, sleep deprivation, dehydration, or massive organ damage.

Yayy now my character will not be fragile insanity and all that. Hopefully we will also get enough food from the trading to let us survive..

Shade-o, do you think that the farms could be shown on the map, perhaps?

Not exactly.  It's more like the half-way point.  Or maybe two-thirds... "we are not yet out of the woods".

Depends, do mangled dwarven corpses count?

It's kind of important.

Sure, why not, I'll just cook it up and toss it in with my pot luck roasts, nobody will know it's dwarf meat :P
