You have -5 Bone Carver skill.

It is entirely possible that you will impale yourself while working.

Our not-miserably-incompetent-at-anything-manufacturing-related dwarves are as follows:

Tholtig:IronyOwl - Metalcrafter, Glassmaker, Noob Stonecrafter
Kogan:Nirur - Mason, Architect, Block-Spammer
Urist:Ochita - Actual Stone Crafter
Litast:CoughDrop - Mostly Free
Gar:Samthere - Weapon/Armorsmith, Noob Metalcrafter/smith

It's obviously possible to have anyone pick it up, it'd just be rougher in the beginning.

*sigh*  Sometimes I wish I could go back and choose not to be a peasant, but then my character just wouldn't be the same.  Darn production skills just not being as useful.

Well, it was pretty necessary for being a brewer/chef. And your character does seem rather... lowborn, I guess.

And again, you could always pick up one or two Manufacturing skills without too much bleeding. Probably.

I have Carpentry, but it's lower than the manufacturing people now as opposed to being higher like it was before.  The other things I want are thankfully service skills i.e. organizing and record keeping.  Maybe a bit of trading too.  I suppose I might try and fire up earthworking as well if I can find some clay at some point.

All this to start a bar.  The things I'll do for dreams.

I feel bad about pointing out that your Service skills are at -5 as well. It's Military and Production you're okay at.

oh I know I'm bad at them, but I figure organizing will level up quickly as long as I keep designing all the mining plans like I've been doing.

Edit:  So, what is going on with everyone?

Incredible discovery: By comparing rates of travel with geography, it turns out that this randomly made world is very close to the real size of the Earth.

So I can make heavy handed weapons... Who wants stone hammers and maces? :D
Also I have no qualms about taking up bonecrafting.
Norrec, I am planning to become a trader or such, I'm going to learn human and Elven (I don't know why but still.) and then I can teach you or something...?

It's not the languages I'm concerned about, I just don't want to get ripped off while I run my store, because that would stink.
