I tried using Ender's client but it nearly made my computer overheat. I'm going to have to stick with the default client.

Okay, not sure how to fix your lag problem, never really had the issue myself.

The problem is I have an old piece of shit computer that has difficulties running Java or even so much as playing any kind of online game that isn't a MUD. I might be getting a new laptop between now and August but until that happens I can't play with you guys. I'm sorry for wasting your time this early morning.

Hah, this is funny, only it isn't. There are no metals in the area... Sigh...

Okay, not sure how to fix your lag problem, never really had the issue myself.
Now that I have gotten some sleep and am starting to get some caffeine into my system I remember that I had the same problem when I played with 4chan's /jp/ board back in I think either World 5 or World 6. The problem is that it takes a while for my computer to load every single graphic, icon, model and character into the cache that Haven and Hearth creates on my computer, but once everything is loaded into that cache my only real trouble will be some lag when I am in large settlements or densely populated areas. It will take me between fifteen minutes to an hour or so to load everything into the cache because there is a lot to put in there so until then Pimmi is going to have to stand in the middle of the settlement and I'm going to have to keep myself amused with other things.

- edit - I'm able to play now after having let the client load for about a half-hour to an hour or so, but now the game did that whole reboot thing while I was trying to raid an anthill and I'm unable to connect.

Ok, almost two weeks since the last time around here! I've finally moved my settlement. Found a little place near my old area with lowest quality soil, but slightly higher water and clay, so I decided moving. Good thing is my settlement is now completely hidden from water, so I believe I'll be out of the raiders' radar. Also I have both copper and iron below me. Crossing my fingers so there is not a hard rock node there (happened to me in W6, couldn't mine before the world was wiped).

Anyway, looks a promising place for a hemit like me.

I've spent twenty-two hours over the past forty-eight in Haven and Hearth, and the end result is I have a claim and a nice little log cabin to call my own. Kind of sucks though that the settlement I was at previously with Urist McDwarf and some random 15-year-old that likes raiding a little too much got claimed by some random chick with glasses before any of us had yeomanry. Also I love dowsing, carpentry and pottery.

Since I really like the Bay12 Community here, anyone in thread that has a 'mildly organized village - complete micromanaged fortress' will soon have a 'dwarven recruit' that will attempt to enlist. That is moi. As in Muahahaha!
Tis is fun to come back to in the summer, so enough shop being talked, I would like to sign up for a village if possible!

EDIT: Don't take my name seriously, Bartholomew is not necessarily a pacifist pious wanderer! I have a experience, and I oughta wield me grubby hands in some melee soon! (Once I get a flotsam or two.)

~Haven & Hearth has always been a terrible game with great promise. That promise kind of faded away, and now it's mainly a way for a few dedicated scumbags to annoy the few new people who drift in.~

I've had a terrible nightmare last night. I was peacefully at my settlement when suddenly I start hearing some strange noises... I check one of the walls and I see a group of russian raiders screaming and... shooting fireballs against the palisade and, since they saw me, against me. Tried to run away fleeing from the gate in the other side but there were more russians there!

And then I woke up. Terrible, terrible nightmare.

I used to have that one all the time. Next time you lay down to go to sleep, try counting wall-mounted, automaton-manned howitzers. 8)

Alternatively, you could hang a massive poster of Ronald Reagan on your wall.

Also trying to make an alt for each thing you want to do when you're practically playing by yourself is boring as all hell. When you guys start a new village I want in so I don't have to do such a thing. I kind of have a thing for pottery, carpentry, sewing, fishing and cooking so I'd like to do those things to help out and such.

Join Brodgar! I don't know if you know this guy around here, but Yolando/Yoland/Yolan/Roland dude is this one heck of a Leader who has a really organized government style village, it is nothing like I have ever seen before personally.  It ain't safe I got to tell you, but it promises a somewhat interesting life, Hel it might even give you perspective on what play style you might change to accordingly! I know I don't need anymore squadrons of alts there. With the way Yolan rules, no one else even gives Militia Revolution a thought at all!

Just. . . only when *whispers* snackish starts throwing tantrums with that ego of his * whispers *.

Anyone playing these days? Tried joining a few villages through the hnh website, but was denied multiple times for not being active on the forums. I'm not a fan of talking about who kills who and how do I clay so I don't really bother talking to people on there. Then again... I'm not very active on here either lol
